SAP Senior ABAP Programmer Job Description
Manages the development, implementation and maintenance in the areas of systems analysis and programming, quality assurance, web engineering, and database designs.
May have any of the following responsibilities
• evaluates complex client area requirements and processes; prepares application system specifications; develops, tests, and implements efficient, cost effective application solutions; aligns with client management to identify and specify extremely complex business requirements and processes for diverse development platforms, computing environments software, hardware, technologies and tools.
• Researches and evaluates alternative solutions and recommends the most efficient and cost effective solution for the systems design; analyzes, designs and executes quality assurance audits, procedures and processes; monitors and tests websites; defines and provides solutions to web and e-commerce systems and engineering issues involving the interrelated demands of hardware, software, telecommunications, security and control.
• Work is completed with minimal direction and reviewed by senior management.
Provides solutions to a diverse range of complex problems.
Typically requires 5 - 8 years of
experience and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. This job may have supervisory responsibility.
This role is part of Client’s SAP Solution Center. In working with the Development Lead, research and recommend technical solutions. Create technical specs based on functional requirements and design/develop and unit test custom RICEFW objects. Deliver high quality objects back per an agreed upon timeframe.
Must haves:
• 5+ years of experience as an ABAP developer, must have worked with all RICEFW elements
• Experience in a 4.6c environment, as well as ECC6
• Must have strong knowledge of: ABAP, ALE, IDOC, BAPI, RFC, user exits, LSMW, Java, J2EE, EP,
XI/PI
• Advanced database design skills and understanding of object oriented designs
• Understanding of complex interface strategies
• SAP Certification required, unless significant additional experience beyond the minimum
required can be demonstrated.
