Job Duration: 11+ Months Contract
Primary Skills:
· Sr. SQL Server DBA , Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 10 years of professional work experience in a mid-sized or large corporate Information Technology environment.
· Exceptional relationship management skills and the ability to build and grow connections with people. Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to keep multiple projects and client engagements active at once.
· Comfort with ambiguity and ability to navigate uncertainty.
· Develop SQL queries and procedures, create custom reports, and modify existing queries and reports to enhance organizational productivity Knowledge on AWS RDS for SQL server would be big add-on Knowledge of SSIS, SSRS, SSAS and Master Data Services (including data profiling) would be helpful. Familiarity with Tableau, Power BI and R would be helpful
Description:
Sr. SQL Server DBA who will be responsible for developing and sustaining the SQL Server environment and reporting applications, writing SQL stored procedures, ensuring their operational readiness (security, health and performance), executing data loads, and performing data modelling in support of multiple development teams. Must be capable of working independently and collaboratively.
The SQL Server DBA responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Develop SQL queries and procedures, create custom reports, and modify existing queries and reports to enhance organizational productivity
Knowledge on AWS RDS for SQL server would be big add-on
Knowledge of SSIS, SSRS, SSAS and Master Data Services (including data profiling) would be helpful.
Familiarity with Tableau, Power BI and R would be helpful
Install and configure new SQL Servers 2016, 2014, and also 2012 R2
Ensure all database servers are backed up in a way that meets the business's Recovery Point Objectives (RPO)
Test backups to ensure we can meet the business' Recovery Time Objectives (RTO)
Work with developers to optimize database performance
Qualifications:
