Skills Required and Job Description:
The Credit Risk Analyst will report to the Manager of Business Planning & Analytics. Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Analyze applicant, credit, and transaction variables to support growth and new product development
- Deliver analysis to support risk-based pricing analysis for products by integrating risk model information with valuation model and market conditions to drive positive selection and appropriate risk/return
- Create and manage tools that will illuminate the characteristics and trends in the loan portfolio
- Work closely with the technology team to analyze the data environment to support new data sources, model driven decision-making and underwriting, risk-based pricing and new products
- Other projects or tasks as assigned
About You
- You possess a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics or a comparable field (or possess equivalent experience)
- You have two or more years of work experience in the Finance, Lending, Credit Card, Mortgage industry
- You possess strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills
- You're an Excel guru and are comfortable with the full range of advanced functions for the sake of model building and data culling
- You have an understanding of SQL (or similar RDBMS languages)
- You have experience with PowerPoint or comparable presentation tools
- You have had some exposure to one or more of the following tools:
- Report Writing: SAP BI, Crystal Reports, QlikView, Tableau etc.
- CRM: SalesForce, Sugar, Siebel or similar
