Job Description :
Role : Hadoop Engineer
Location : Sunnyvale, CA
Duration : 6-24 + month
GC and CITIZEN
CLIENT is looking for a self-driven and analytically-inclined candidate for the software engineer/developer position for cutting-edge framework/application development.
Key Qualifications
1. 4+ years experience in software development, with 2+ years in Big Data (preferred)
2. Ability to work within a team and passion for software development
3. Hadoop/Hive
· 2+ years of software development experience in Hadoop/Hive (preferred)
· Good understanding of MapReduce Design Patterns
· Good understanding of joins in Hive
· Prior experience in performance optimization in Hive
· Prior experience with Hive customization, i.e. writing UDFs, UDTFs and UDAFs preferred
· Prior experience in writing custom Input/Output Formats or Custom SerDes is a plus.
4. Java
· 3+ years of software development experience in Core Java (preferred)
· Good understanding of Algorithms and Data Structures
· Prior experience with Maven and JUnit tests
· Prior experience in MapReduce programming is a plus
5. Python
· 2+ years of software development in Python (preferred)
· Prior experience with Python-Hive integration, iPython Notebook is a plus
Education:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent is required
· Master's degree preferred
