Role & Responsibility:
•Occasional travel to USA for major project kickoffs, trainings or orientation.
•Schedule a conference call with the functional team and development team manager to understand requirements (BSD walk through). Provide any knowledge/analysis that could assist in success of the task at hand.
•Build Computer System Design (CSD) prior to coding beginning. Calculate efforts and provide estimates for development/testing.
•Review CSD with development team manager. After acceptance, review with functional team members. Explain changes need to be made; new programs need to be written, test scripts. Set expectations by presenting estimates.
•Responsible for coding of task. ABAP, XI, SAPscript, Smart Forms, Autosys (Job scheduler)
•Responsible for working with other teams in order to complete the task. IE: Tech team for any shell scripts, Computer operations for job scheduling, various external application teams for any interface coordination.
•Thorough testing within Development and/or Test region depending on available data.
All documentation associated with the completion of the task. CSD updates, Unit test results, Migration paperwork, Job setup documents.
•Assist functional teams when necessary in the testing efforts.
•Develop combined BSD/CSD design documents on all development driven Tasks.
•Combined BSD/CSD handoff to functional team members for QA/testing on tasks that are owned by the development team.
•Investigate and fix production issues. Investigate and improve performance issues.
•Work with all teams on follow through after development is done and after product is rolled into production.
•Keeps management, other team members and other departmental employees aware of obstacles and status changes in a timely manner.
•Maintains a professional demeanor at all times. Consistently able to interact professionally and work productively with all levels of Medline employees. Follows Medline’s Code of Ethics and other corporate policies.
Skills Required:
•5+ years ABAP and SAP systems experience (must be strong)
•Strong and polished English communication, both written and oral
•Extensive ABAP experience with structured programming, dialog programming, use-exits, debugger, data dictionary, OSS notes, data exchange with external systems, etc.
•Passport must be valid for immediate US travel, with expiry date at least 1 year after date of joining.
Preferred:
•Object oriented programming, BAPIs, BADIs, BDC, IDOC, ALE, Workflow, mySAP.com solutions
•Systems experience beyond SAP, deep understanding of business skills and procedures
Experience with full project lifecycle.
Major Plus:
XI, AUTOSYS (job scheduling application), JavaBeans and ActiveX with SAP
Experience: 5 years and above
