Lead SAP ABAP Engineer
 
The SAP ABAP Engineer plays an important role in the success of the Applications Team.  This individual will be part of the Order To Cash delivery team responsible for SAP ABAP technical delivery.  
 
Responsibilities
 
• Part of SAP engineering team and responsible for end to end development of applications associated with delivery of IT projects.
• Understand business and functional requirements and translate them in to technical solutions
• Responsible for design, execution, unit testing, debugging and also documentation
• Responsible for code review and be able to manage defects tracking them to closure
 
Requirements
 
• Strong SAP development experience with 8+ years in SAP ABAP development with exposure to various modules of SAP.
• Preferable to have SAP FI functional knowledge and experience with solutions from Vistex
• Hands-on experience in Reports, Module Pool, SAP Scripts, Forms, ALV Reports, BSP, ALE/IDOC, BAPIs and Workflow
• Exposure in SAP functional areas with an understanding of SAP finance, HR, Logistics and CRM area
• Experience in implementation, upgrade and support projects
• Understanding of software lifecycle methodology and information systems development with knowledge of SAP client server IT infrastructure (e.g. databases, web servers, applications servers).
• Understanding of release and change management process
• Winning attitude, team player, quality conscious and action oriented with continuous improvement mindset
• Ability to establish strong IT value to the business, accelerate delivery of projects and increase quality
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent work standards and highly motivated
• Excellent oral and written communication skills (interpersonal and client-facing)
• Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience
