Sr. Agile Coach

JOB DUTIES:

•The Agile Coach is responsible for helping the AOC in designing a strategy for the organizational adoption of Agile. This includes every stage of adoption, from the introduction of Agile and employee education, to fostering teams and cultures that practice Agile, to sustaining Agile methodologies and continually offering strategies for improvement.

•In helping to implement Agile methodologies, the Agile coach will help the AOC implement Agile process, principles and practices across all levels in the CIS Division.

•The Agile Coach must use techniques that increase collaboration, predictability, transparency and promote a culture of experimentation and innovation.

•The Agile Coach must also embody the Agile principles and lead by example.

•Other duties as agreed.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

•Education

    The Agile Coach must have an appropriate education and/or relevant certification to be able to lead teams of information technology professionals.

•Experience

     The Agile Coach must have demonstrated successful adoption of agile practices in a relevant government agency.

     Over 10 years of proven experience in guiding large organizations through successful Enterprise-wide Agile training

• Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

     Knowledge of current and emerging agile methodologies and effective application of those technologies

     Knowledge of agile transformation in government technology sector

     Knowledge of project management methodologies

     Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing

     Ability to analyze problems and make effective recommendations and decisions; ability to communicate complex technical subjects clearly and concisely

     Ability to manage, develop and motivate government employees through an agile transformation; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a broad range of constituencies

 

 

Implementing and operating with 1 or more Agile Methodologies (Scrum, XP, Kanban, etc.)	Required	5	Years
Implementing and operating Agile methodologies (Scrum, XP, Kanban, etc.) in State Government Agencies	Required	3	Years

Implementing and operating in a Scaled Agile framework (SAFe, DAD, LeSS, etc.) for more than 5 teams	Required	3	Years
Implementing and operating in a Scaled Agile framework (SAFe, DAD, LeSS, etc.) in State Government for more than 5 teams	Required	2	Years

Agile Coaching in an IT Environment	Required	5	Years
Agile Coaching on an Enterprise-wide Level	Required	3	Years

Agile Coaching in a State Government Environment	Required	5	Years
Enterprise Business Agility Coaching	Required	1	Year
