Job Role: Sr Micro Strategy Developer with Admin experience
Job Location : New York City, NY
Job Duration : Long term
Project Details:
· 8 + years of experience in Micro Strategy Development and Architecting. Certifications preferred.
· Should have strong Architect ability in implementing BI projects using Micro Strategy as the BI tool.
· Build complex and effective Reports/Dashboards/ Documents.
· Utilize advanced components / features such as VLDB properties, I-Cubes and Free Form SQL, consolidations, custom groups, advanced metrics, relationship filters.
· Tune Micro Strategy analytical capabilities for SQL performance (Netezza, Teradata, SQL Server) and execution efficiency
· Write, analyze, and debug complex, multi-pass SQL queries
· Knowledge of dimensional star & snowflake models, data marts, and or data warehouse
· Knowledge in Micro Strategy Mobile development is a great plus.
· Strong Written and Oral communication skills.
· Working with ETL developers to define data mapping documents and Database Design
> Requirement analysis – Understand requirements from functional and mapping documents.
> Raise required clarification and questions prior to requirement baseline. Design – Finding appropriate solution as per the given requirements and identifying the best solutions that can be implemented.
> Unit Test execution – Includes running of the test scripts designed in the respective data environment and comparing the Target database with the Source to ensure the data transformation is working as per the requirement.
> Fixing Data Issues - it is important that there should be a strategy to identify the error and fix them for the next run on the data issue identified. Implementation—The ideal solution after the unit testing will be given to quality assurance team.
> Make sure peer reviews are happened before each deliverables. Individual contribution in design implementation and coordination with onsite team.
