Job Description (include number of years of experience required, technical skills & detailed responsibilities):
• Responsible for design decisions for the enterprise data warehouse model supporting business intelligence (BI) reporting requests
• Create detailed extract, transform and load (ETL) specifications supporting all the EDW/Data Lake modeling Review and provide oversight of code and data content results with Data Engineer /Developers
• Participate in the development and implementation of BI standards processes and tools
• Provide technical expertise to guide and educate BI report developers in designing queries
• Integrate master data management to streamline data sharing, enhance business processes and enrich data available to all systems and processes
• Act as the focal point for understanding data from the corporate perspective and presenting the data in a manner that can be understood uniformly throughout PFJ
• Support multiple projects in building new data sets and data structures as needed by the business
• Teach new design techniques optimized for BI data structures to the project level ETL Developers
• Mentor junior team members
• Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, polices, and procedures Complete other duties as assigned
• Ability to work independently with no to minimal supervision
• Strong communication skills
• Apply domain Knowledge of Retail Data Warehousing while designing dimensional models
• Familiarity with JIRAand Confluence is a plus
Technical skills:
• Must have knowledge of Netezza, Strong SQL skills mandatory
• DataStage , End to end ETL development
• Knowledge of Dimensional modeling, star schema, snowflake
• Basic SQL server /T-SQL knowledge
• Red shift on AWS knowledge is a plus
• Python scripting
• Basic understanding of cloud terminologies , handling json, web service apis etc
