Job Title : Solution Architect

Job Responsibilities :
Participate in business development activities and build a strong network with BCG partners, principals and project leaders.
Define, manage and continuously improve architectural design for BCG's client facing and Practice Area solutions
Mentor the team on architectural guidelines and development of solutions
Conceptualize and execute on solution and technology proof of concepts
Coach on (new) technologies and establish a team-wide comprehension of solution design
Effectively balance guiding and execution; participate in coding
Lead innovation and inspire the team to innovate
Maintain strong expertise and knowledge of current and emerging technologies and products
Champion quality deliverables, agile best-practices, processes, and tools
Guide and review all solutioning and technology aspects of the team̢۪s deliverables
Collaborate effectively with your peers in other regions
Work with project team members to gather, assess & organize business requirements.
Drive the creation of re-usable tools and libraries.
Perform research for viable technical and/or non-technical solutions, evaluating new tools and technology that could be used to fulfil business needs.
Participate in estimation and planning of a project.
Communicate with stakeholders, customers and manage expectations.
Basic Job Requirements :
Education or Certifications
Bachelors/Masters degree in IT, Computer science, or related field.
Work Experience
12-15 years of software development, with at least 5 years designing and architecting solutions and enterprise grade applications
Additional weight age for contributions made to open source projects, blogs, forums etc. in relevant technologies
Demonstrated skills in advising/influencing solution stakeholders
Experience leading and inspiring software solution development teams
Deep expertise in Microsoft technologies (primarily .Net) and exposure to a breadth of technical areas across platforms, form factors, devices, languages, databases, distributed computing etc.
Solid understanding of the practical application of agile methodologies and leading software development teams in an Agile/Lean environment
Proven track record with rapid development cycles and demanding schedules
Excellent troubleshooting skills
Experience with automated environments, methodologies and frameworks.
