Job Title: SQL Server DBA

Job Location: Minneapolis, MN

Duration: 6+Months

Mode of Interview: Phone then Face To Face

VISA:USC, GC and EAD-GC ONLY

 

This position is responsible for logical and physical database design, implementation, security administration, capacity planning, and performance tuning in support of application development. This position also performs research and evaluation of new tools and develops policies, standards and procedures related to the database environment.

Position Responsibilities

·         Creates logical database designs in coordination with software developers

·         Designs physical database structures

·         Implements database structures

·         Participates on numerous application development projects with medium to high complexity

·         Performs capacity planning

·         Plans and executes performance tuning to support application service levels

·         Researches, evaluates and recommends new tools and techniques

·         Develops policies, standards, and procedures related to the database environment

·         Supports database backup and restore functions

·         Reviews stored procedures for adherence to standards and performance requirements

·         Develops and maintains documentation

·         Performs other duties as needed
