Java Developer
Location: Woodlawn, MD
Length: Long Term Contract
Project Details:
Analyze client requirements and develop solutions to meet the requirements.
Duties include - design, development and unit testing of various projects.
Interact regularly with the SSA management, architects and project leads to discuss technical issues, project milestones and deliverables.
Participate in code reviews and design discussions and ensure that the code and other deliverables meet industry standards.
Analyze performance issues and recommend/develop fixes to improve performance of various applications.
Support production deployments and provide technical expertise to solve production issues.
Provide end-to-end support and assistance to the customer to improve software quality, the software build process, and software version control.
Required:
Java, Java Enterprise Edition (Java EE)
EJB, JSP, Servlets, JDBC
Struts 2.0
SQL, DB2
JavaScript
WebSphere Application Server 7 or WebSphere Application Server 8.5
Rational Application Developer 8 or Rational Application Developer 8.5
Desired skills
XML, HTML, CSS
Versioning tools like CVS or MKS or SVN, Hibernate, Spring
Experience with Agile development methodologies
Experience with Big Data - technologies and tools such as Hadoop, Splunk
