Job Specification
*Technical specialist with expertise in multiple technology areas - J2EE, LAMP, WAMP, .NET, Mobile platforms (iOS, Android, Hybrid) including extensive experience with development frameworks and third party solutions and libraries.
*Strategic business acumen and understanding of clients' organization strategy and ability to design information systems to delivery that strategy
*Experiencing in assessing a broad range of information solutions and products particularly Web and Mobile based solutions.
*Experience with a broad range of verticals and extensive domain expertise.
*Excellent communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to lay audiences.
*Self-starter with the ability to appropriately prioritize and plan complex work in a rapidly changing environment
*Results oriented with ability to produce products that deliver organizational benefit
*Strong critical thinker with problem solving aptitude. Strong conceptual and analytical skills - demonstrating out-of-the-box problem solving skills
*Team player with experience leading and collaborating cross-team to ensure successful delivery of solutions
*Ability to develop solution architecture designs
*Experience of developing Services Orientated Architectures (SOA)
*Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture methodologies such as TOGAF or the equivalent
*Working knowledge of infrastructure including servers, storage, firewalls, load balancers, routers, etc.
*Overall 10+ years of experience with a minimum of four years in a professional senior technical role such as technical lead, architect, or other hands on leadership role ideally for a major consultancy or system integrator.
Educational Qualification: M.Tech/M.E./B.Tech./B.E.(CS/EC/EE)
Job Description/Responsibilities
*Work closely with the Project stakeholders to understand the functional and technical requirements of the project(s). Be consultative and contribute information and recommendations to technology choices, technical solutions and project estimates.
*Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all phases of the software development lifecycle with applied knowledge of Waterfall and Agile development methodologies
*Define overall system architecture and design principles with the technical lead(s). Produce a technical specification for custom development and systems integration requirements.
*Produce a detailed functional design document to match customer requirements.
*Provide current best practice and 3rd Party solution alternatives as part of the functional design document.
*Lead in designing, specifying and selecting information system solutions, considering functionality, data, security, integration, infrastructure and performance.
*Understand the technologies and technical issues involved with the project, anticipate and identify critical technical obstacles, and make accurate technology decisions.
*Ability to evaluate current state of architecture, platform and provide architectural recommendations to improve performance, scalability and reliability.
*Assume end-to-end technical ownership of the technical solution and technical implementation of the solution for the assigned project(s).
*Participate in internal projects as required. Participate in pre-sales activities as required.
*Take initiative for the overall development of the engineering team
*Take up the role of a technical evangelist outside the project architecture responsibilities.
*Senior point of escalation for resolution of technical delivery issues.
*Support users by developing technical documentation as needed.
*Update job knowledge by researching new internet/intranet technologies and software products; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
