Job Title : PeopleSoft FSCM consultant

Location : Sana Anta, CA

Duration : 6 months


The candidates must be local to CA. 


General Job Description:

 

You're organized and professional with exceptional analytical skills and a strong background in information technology. In this role you will work under general supervision to analyze business processes and user needs, prepare detailed specifications from which programs are written, and maintain existing PeopleSoft FSCM processes and interfaces.  You will analyze moderate to complex business problems and formulate solutions using your subject matter expertise in Finance, research, fact-finding and your understanding of PeopleSoft FSCM.

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

·         Analyzes business functions such as Finance, marketing and human resources in order to develop new or modify information processing systems.

·         Collaborate with business to define business solutions as per the business short term and long term goals and objectives

·         Gather and Analyze business requirements for PeopleSoft Financial application modules including GL, AP, AR, BI, AM, PO to configure and enhance business functionalities and processes

·         Consults with business unit management and personnel to identify and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements, data scope, usage, formatting, and security requirements.

·         Provides technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures.

·         Writes and maintains functional specifications for new and modified functionalities in PeopleSoft Finance.

·         Confers and coordinates with programmers and other personnel to design and develop as per business requirements

·         Develops, coordinates, and implements plans to test business and functional processes during system development and quality assurance testing.

·         Confers with business unit management and personnel to obtain additional information during system development and evaluate alternatives.

·          Prepares system specifications to meet user requirements including recommended alternative solutions for achieving project objectives

·         Conducts preliminary assessment of user business needs, clearly defining and documenting detailed business objectives including assessment of laws, rules and regulations that affect the business needs of the organization

·         Tracks and documents changes to functional and business specifications.

·         Creates or assists others in the writing of user documentation, instructions, and procedures.

·         Monitors, researches, resolves and documents post-implementation problems and revision requests.

·         Prepares time and cost estimates for completing projects

·         Keeps abreast of new technologies to assess trends.

·         Guides and advises less-experienced systems analysis personnel.

 

Qualifications

 

·         Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) in business administration, business management or related field

·         Min. five year experience in PeopleSoft FSCM

·         Rich functional experience across 9.2 upgrades from lower releases will be preferred

·         Superior knowledge in understanding of business requirements, processes and implementation approaches for the following PeopleSoft Financials/SCM modules: Account Receivables, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Purchasing Treasury/Cash Management and eProcurement

·         Superior technical proficiency with SQL and PS/Query for reviewing data, troubleshooting and testing/validating source system data

·         Superior technical proficiency in developing user reports with nVision.

·         Technical proficiency in developing user reports with PS/Query

·         Advanced knowledge of Finance business practices, work flow analysis, business systems design, and process re-engineering.

·         Strong understanding and experience in setting up business units in PeopleSoft Finance

·         Proven experience in requirement gathering, fit/gap analysis, documenting design, test planning and execution, training strategy, and overall implementation planning.

·         Proven ability to evaluate configuration options to leverage PeopleSoft delivered functionality.

·         Ability to write and maintain functional specifications for new or modified business systems.

·         Ability to develop, coordinate and implement plans to test business and functional processes during system development and quality assurance testing.

·         Ability to write reports and business correspondence in order to maintains functional specifications for new or modified business systems and create or assist others in the writing of user documentation, instructions, and procedures.

·         Working knowledge of project management principles and techniques

·         Must have strong writing skills and be able to create functional specifications, design documents, training materials, test scripts, etc.

 

·         Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from individuals and groups of managers and personnel in order to consult and provide technical assistance.

·         Ability to guide and advise less-experienced business system analyst.

 

 

Client needs someone with PeopleSoft Financial Management Solicitations (FMS) Upgrade experience working on the core business processes. Must have functional knowledge and experience for "as is, to be", and best practices knowledge for upgrading all business processes to the newer version of PeopleSoft 9.2.

 

Need BSA that has a keen understanding of the functional process differences upgrading from from version 8.X to version 9.2 (will also consider candidates with experience upgrading to version 9.1 only).
