USG direct client is looking for RELEASE ENGINEER at Stratford, CT
Responsibilities:-
The Release Engineer will be the primary owner of build and release tools and processes for the client internal applications. S/he will own the test, build and release infrastructure for the Client's internal applications. This will include designing and implementing processes and tools to support continuous integration, testing, deployment, automation. In addition, the Release Engineer will be a steward for good software engineering practices.
Required Skills:-
· Has experience working with Linux, Windows, Jira, Stash, GIT, Maven
· 3-6 years of experience
· Must be able to work from client location in Stratford, CT daily
· Must be a U.S. Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident
· Has not worked at the client as an employee or a contractor in the past.
Interview Guidelines:-
· 3-6 years release engineering experience and experience implementing a build and release system.
· Maintain detailed build and release notes.
· Mastery of source control tools.
· Work with development, QA and project management teams to set release schedules and environment.
· Help define best practices for source control, continuous integration, automated testing, build automation, deployment, and release management.
· Maintain high quality by participating in code reviews.
· Ability to work at the client location
· Experience in Windows .NET programming is a plus.
