Title: QA Automation Test Engineer
Work Location: Pasadena, CA
Long-term contract
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, math, or computer science
• 6+ years QA experience with validating and verifying SaaS-based, client server and customer facing applications
• Expert level understanding of Software Quality Assurance (SQA) concepts and practices to continually provide tools for the software delivery teams • 6+ years of experience working with Java, Junit etc
• 6+ years using test automation frameworks i.e.: Cucumber, FitNesse, TestNG, and Selenium.
• 6+ years experience with Source Code Management like CVS, Git or Subversion.
• 4+ years of API testing using SOAP UI
• Experience designing test plans and test procedures and analyzing testing impacts associated with changes during development
• Strong background in functional testing, performance testing, load testing and services/API testing
• Understanding of and experience with test automation tools
• Understanding of test methodologies (functional, performance, stress etc.)
• Experience designing test plans and test procedures and analyzing testing impacts associated with changes during development
• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies. Ability to develop longer-range project plans and schedules to complete complex projects or new product development.
• Proven track record as application developer.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Preference will be given to candidates who have the following:
• Good analytical and problem solving skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
• Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, complex technical projects
REPONSIBILITIES:
• This position's primary objective will be to Test develop application solutions to business problems in alignment with the enterprise architecture direction and standards.
• Assist with the compatibility and integration of products/services proposed as standards in order to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent technologies.
• Assist in the planning and design coordination of new systems to maximize reuse of applications/components, application patterns and adherence to technology standards
• Provide mentoring and technical oversight to other team members.
