Delivers a distinctive business intelligence customer experience by providing consultation and technical service for business areas across the company.
This includes assessing, collecting, analyzing, visualizing, distributing and sustaining self service data solutions with Microsoft business intelligence technologies.
Accountabilities include gathering and interpreting business needs, creating best practices, and working closely with the business unit and technology subject matter experts to help design and implement MSBI solutions.
- Oversees questions from all MSBI environments across the company
- Accountable for maintaining MSBI Provisioning and Best Practice documents
- Accountable for specific operational reporting, HPSM and staff onboarding reports
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, math, statistics, business or related field
• 3+ years Practitioner Expertise in SQL Microsoft Business Intelligence Required,
• SQL Server 2012: RDBMS, Integration Services (ETL), Analysis Services (knowledge of Tabular Design,, OLAP, OLTP, Common BI semantic models), Reporting Services (Metrics Reports, Canned Reports, Ad-hoc, etc)
• SharePoint Server: Excel Services, PowerPivot for SharePoint, PerformancePoint Services, PowerView
• 3+ years' experience working directly with internal and external stakeholders. Building relationships with different analytical, support and operational teams to continue the development of analytical practices and work.
• Expert in Microsoft Office Tools with focus on Excel, Visio and Word
• Strong data analysis skills, including experience working with both Relational and Multidimensional databases and cubes
• Expert in database concepts, logical/physical design and development
• Experience working in a T-SQL environment
• Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts and techniques, Kimball methodology, star/snowflake schemas, multi-dimensional design and OLAP processing
• Strong knowledge of relational database management systems, normalized and denormalized structures, logical and physical modeling, physical database design, query optimization, data sourcing, data transformation, data loading, data cleansing, data shaping, indexing strategy
• Knowledge of modern development lifecycles, including Agile and iterative development
• Ability to be responsive to changing business needs (organizational agility), manage and prioritize concurrent assignments, and handle ambiguity.
• Excellent verbal and written skills with demonstrated ability to communicate highly complex and technical concepts in general terms to broad audiences.
