Project Manager Lead is responsible for the performance of a medium to large sized technical project, several small or medium sized projects, or a definable portion of a larger technical program in accordance with contract requirements and company policies, procedures and guidelines. Directs and supervises all support resources for the performance of project assignments and activities. Manages the technical direction of a project through the design, implementation and testing in accordance with project objectives. The candidate is required to use Client's program management tools to manage project work plans, issues, risks, and dependencies. The candidate produce status reports and conducts status meetings and facilitates issue resolution and risk management sessions. Leading/facilitating the Risk, Issues, and Change Management processes and planning and lessons learned meetings. Mentoring teams on the use of Clarity, Open Workbench, and our Project Management Methodology and System Development Life Cycle processes, and SAP's ASAP methodology - developing presentations - identifying process improvement opportunities. Education & Experience: The Project Manager leads and manages IT projects. This role manages, supports, and assists all aspects of a project from original concept through the final implementation, ensuring governance process adherence, project continuity, and stakeholder management. The Project Manager develops project budgets and is responsible for performance against financial parameters and monitoring and reporting on projects. She/he has responsibility for overall coordination, status reporting and stability of project oriented work efforts. The Project Manager is responsible for tracking key project milestones and adjusting project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of business partners. The role coordinates communication with all areas of the enterprise that impacts the scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk and resources of the work effort being managed. The Project Manager is responsible for assembling project plans and teamwork assignments, directing and monitoring work efforts on a daily basis, identifying resource needs, and escalating associated risks, issues and change requests appropriately. The role oversees the work of project based resources and assists with performance reviews.
Project Managers utilize the corporate and department specific project management processes and methodologies to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards and meet business partner expectations. Project Managers provide feedback to the Project Management Office, PMO, and/or the Enterprise Project Management Office, EPMO, for recommendations for process improvement and for capturing lessons learned for sharing across the organization. Project Managers are also responsible for ensuring that the change management activities (the "people side" of change) are planned for and implemented. They assist Program Manager(s) in partnering with senior management of the business community to identify and prioritize opportunities for utilizing IT to achieve the goals of the enterprise.

Proactive, jumps right in, doesn't sit around waiting for direction, seeks it out. Owns the project management piece. Doesn't just go through the PMO checkbook, strives for quality and efficiency. Develop and implement a knowledge transfer plan. Manage team deliverables and assigned tasks. Lead the day-to-day analysis and requirement gathering phases of projects. Lead overall functional and technical design. Lead team-programming efforts; provide programming assistance to team members. Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive test plan and testing approach for a system development effort, and lead the implementation and turnover of software to clients. Effectively deal with internal and external clients and management. Provide leadership for larger and complex written communications.
