Job description:
Position: Red Hat Linux Consulting
Location: Saint Louis, MO
Duration: 4+Months
FIXED FEE ENGAGEMENT Puppet Implement OS - Red Hat Linux Consulting Technical Skills and Experience in Model: RHEL, Satellite 5, Satellite 6, Foreman. RHEL configuration/deployment/reporting guru. looking for a RedHat Linux expert who is familiar with v6 to help them upgrade to version 6 and implement all the tools and be able to make sure the tools are functioning properly. The resource will need to know the Puppet modules extremely well. They have about 1200 servers that need to be up to date with new CIS security standards. Once upgraded to v6 and tools working properly, they will begin to look at the manifestos on the old puppet, build new manifestos and push out to servers. They have an older Puppet and RHEL Satellite 5 tool suite and are looking to install the Satellite 6 with Puppet, Foreman and any other components that they need to fully manage the environment life cycle. They just don t have the cycles to focus on the upgrade in house. They are looking to do this quickly.
Location preference: St Louis, MO, but also could sit in Scottsdale, AZ if no one available for STL. Possibility of some remote, but no until been onsite a while.
