Java Architect

As a Technology Architect, you will significantly contribute to identifying best-fit architectural solutions for one or more projects; develop design of application, provide regular support/guidance to project teams on complex coding, issue resolution and execution. You will collaborate with some of the best talent in the industry to create and implement innovative high quality solutions, participate in Sales and various pursuits focused on our clients' business needs. Location for this position is Dallas / Plano, TX. This position may require 10% travel.
Applicants for employment in the U.S. must possess work authorization which does not require sponsorship by the employer for a visa (H1b or otherwise).
Qualifications Basic
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required. Will also consider one year of relevant work experience in lieu of every year of education
• At least 7 years of experience in Java/JEE and distributed web application development technologies
Preferred
• At least 2 years of experience in technology consulting, enterprise and solutions architecture and architectural frameworks
• At least 7 years of experience in Java & distributed web application development in following areas:
§ Key Skills: Java, JEE, Client MVC frameworks such Backbone.JS/Angular.JS, JSP, Servlet, XML, Web Services, JMS, JDBC, Web 2.0, Python
§ Design and Architecture: SOA, MDA, Design patterns, Best practices, UML, Data Modeling, System Integration etc.
§ Database: Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, MySQL etc.
§ Application/Web Servers: WebLogic, WebSphere, JBoss, Apache etc.
§ Frameworks: Spring, Hibernate etc.
§ Tools: Eclipse, Rational Rose, IRAD, Rational Software Architect, ANT, Maven, Profiling and Code Review tools etc.
§ Processes: Agile Methodology, Change Management, Release Management, Configuration Management, Continuous Integration etc.
• At least 3 years of experience in project execution
• Experience in defining new architectures and ability to drive an independent project from an architectural stand point
• Analytical skills
• At least 1 year experience in thought leadership, white papers and leadership/mentoring of staff and internal consulting teams
Experience and desire to work in a management consulting environment that requires some travel
