Develops software systems and programs, and modifies existing programs working with IS team members. Develops technical specification, or receives technical specifications from other Development staff. Manages the building of new systems from functional specifications prepared by others. Develops system documentation.

Manages documentation and participates in implementation planning.

Responds to complex requests, problems and questions. Resolves time sensitive problems that affect legislative agencies and system users in a timely manner in an effort to limit the impact to the legislative business. Monitors application systems and works with other IS team members to tune systems to minimize failures and down-time. Displays strong customer service and communication skills and ensures all parties impacted are continually apprised of the progress on problem resolution. Diagnoses problems and develops or corrects, and works with other IS staff to implement and coordinate solutions. Tracks and reports problems and changes.

Prepares technical documentation.
