Network Security Engineer

Location : San Jose, CA

Duration: Long term 18+ months

 

1. Deployment of enterprise firewalls (Palo Alto Networks, Cisco ASA, Juniper) in production environments

2. Understanding of Linux systems and can automate simple tasks (Shell, Perl, Python)

3. Understanding of Networking concepts, particularly routing/switching and security

 

Job Description Description:

 

-Detailed knowledge of modern stateful and application inspection enterprise firewalls from most leading vendors.

-Assist with firewall clean-up and adding/changing rules to new firewalls deployed as a result of the company split.

-Deployment of enterprise firewalls (Palo Alto Networks, Cisco ASA, Juniper) in production environments.

-Work directly with internal project teams on firewall and security requirements for their initiatives, review and implement necessary changes, and follow-up with any troubleshooting and remediation necessary.

-Provide operational support for a medium to large deployment of enterprise firewalls across the globe.

-Possess very strong L3 network, firewall, and client/server troubleshooting skills.

-Perform PCI or SOX-related audits on firewall rulebases.
