Title : Peoplesoft Functional GL implementation
Location: Detroit MI
Duration : 6+ Months
Responsibilities;
• Develop and implement edits (combo or other) required for data quality, and execute any potential revisions to source data transformation rules
• Add new chart fields in PeopleSoft including specific new accounts to support Tax and SAP accounting
• Review all of the pertinent and existing Journal entry posting to identify additional details/ consistent template
• Create roll-ups (trees) other than account and a process for maintenance
• Define and Design framework for using SAP Ledger, and GAAP adjusted Ledger
• Identify, validate and design level of details, transactions, and adjustments that feed to be posted to either of Ledgers i.e. GAAP, SAP, and Tax
• Configure SAP Ledger in Peoplesoft
• Develop and implement edits (combo or other) for SAP ledger
• Create SAP specific account roll-ups (trees)
• Define consolidation framework keeping in mind delivered system capabilities, and emerging business requirements
• Design system enabled framework for loading subs and affiliate financials in consolidation business units at parent level i.e. enterprise wide GAAP standard account
structure
• Enable inter-unit module for balanced and reconciled inter-company accounting with appropriate details
• Design and implement system enabled ownership roll-up (equalization module) for appropriate consolidation
• Design and implement system enabled consolidation and elimination regimen 1 including elimination business units
• Navision report changes and creation
• Create repository of standard Peoplesoft reports by required dimensions
Top 3 Required Skills/Experience:
PeopleSoft General Ledger modules configuration experience. Includes:
Inter-unit module 2 to 3 implementation experiences related to above modules within PeopleSoft General Ledger
Equalization and Consolidation module 2 to 3 implementation experiences related to above modules within PeopleSoft General Ledger
Setting-up of ledgers, and chart fields, etc - 2 to 3 implementation experiences related to above modules within PeopleSoft General Ledger
Required Skills/Experience
Requirement:
Should have strong IT experience with PeopleSoft system specifically with General Ledger on following aspects:
Close process
Ledger set-up (SAP and tax adjustment Ledger)
Setting up of alternative tree and roll-up structure
Chart fields set-up
Equalization rules (roll-up of downstream entities to the upstream entities based on the ownership and control structure)
Elimination entity structure set-up (Inter-unit module set-up)
Consolidation configuration and process
New Business Unit set-up within General Ledger module.
Understanding of data extraction processes from General Ledger to appropriate level
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Perform configuration and implementation of system changes
Strong analytical and debugging skills
Solid written and verbal communication skills
