TITLE: Sr. Oracle PL/SQL Developer

TERM: 6-12 Months.

LOCATION:  NYC

 

Top tier investment bank is seeking an Oracle PL/SQL developer for the following:

Demonstrate strengths in analysis, design and implementation of large projects at major financial corporation(s), particularly in DWH using Oracle with PL/SQL programming
- Provide technology solutions that address business needs by developing applications within
technology environments
- Knowledge of design patterns and best practices for high performance, scalable, extensible
applications
- Caching techniques
- Ability to define interfaces that can be implemented by the programming team
- Contribute to the technical code documentation
- Design, develop, and implement code
- Implement fixes and enhancements
- Create Test Plans, Test Cases and perform unit and integration testing
- Support existing applications
- Involved in full life cycle of project
- Good Technical Writing skills
- Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills.

Qualifications:

Oracle 11g 10 years +
Oracle PL/SQL(definitely required) 10 years +
PL SQL Tuning 6 years +
J2ee 6 years +
Java 5 years
Development in Unix, Linux Env 5 years +
UIT testing 4 years

Ability to utilize programming methodologies and languages
- Efficient coding i.e. adhering to coding standards, procedures and techniques
- Effective analysis of new and existing applications and platforms
- Clear communication and documentation of technical specifications * Oracle, Certifications

* Basel III & Accounting Background
* Any Financial Certifications
* Management of resources.

* UNIX
- ability to navigate the file system, execute commands, view results
- understand usage of become accounts, background jobs, formatting files (Windows to UNIX)

* Oracle:
- Tune SELECT queries using Explain Plan
- understands code of packages and stored procedures, privileges, synonyms, sessions etc
