Job Title   : Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Architect

Location  : Harrisville, NH

Job Description:

 

This role requires hands-on experience in implementing an AEM 6.1 enterprise architecture.  The planned architecture of the environment will be provided by Adobe Professional Services.

The successful candidate will provide technical leadership and hands-on development to deliver this enterprise/global AEM solution.  The role collaborates with project development teams and client partners for the design, development, and deployment of AEM-based web sites into a tightly controlled multi-vendor AEM hosting environment.

The successful candidate will have high-level responsibility for understanding, planning, and leading the delivery of technology solutions within a program of projects.  This individual should assume the role of the client's trusted advisor on collaborative technology-related topics including technology strategy. 

 

Responsible for:

 

Architecture:

•        Lead large-scale multi-tenant Adobe Experience Manager implementation and migrations from existing environments.

•        Responsibilities will include systems design, code review, data design, defining content lifecycles, configuration, set-up and deployment of Dev, QA, UAT, and production environments while addressing performance and security concerns where appropriate.

•        Implement overall environment including, but not limited to, repository layout, database, server architecture and communications frameworks to support AEM 6.1.

•        Serve as a technical expert across teams, partners, and vendors.  Work with alliances and partnerships to ensure deep understanding of the technologies and best practices for a multi-tenant solution.

•        Act as liaison between business units, technology teams, support teams, and collaborate with developers, and external vendors to establish the technical vision.

•        Lead pre migration support activities such as implementation processes, and procedures per governance standards.

•        Establish multi-vendor AEM hosting standards, processes, and procedures for Dev, QA, UAT, and production environments. 

 

Technology Management:

•        Promote and coordinate technical knowledge within the organization

•        Define &  communicate coding standards for AEM hosting environment

•        Lead design and technical architecture activities to define overall software design

•        Assist Project Manager(s) in establishing team goals, objectives, and budget

•        Provide  recommendations on AEM best practices

•        Start POCs and do early risk assessments

•        Identify system deficiencies and implement effective solutions

•        Track and identify new opportunities to improve our methodology and offerings.

•        Collaborate to create a solid implementation team well versed in technical and development methodology of AEM

•        Research new products and technologies to determine fit within the organization

 

Skill Requirements:

·         AEM Certification (preferably "AEM 6 Architect")

·         7+ years of technology experience with proven track record in architecting solutions and executing multiple AEM/CQ5 based projects.

·         At least 3 years of experience in AEM architecture, implementing and supporting AEM/CQ5, OSGi, Sling based applications.

·         Strong background in JEE and various framework and patterns in J2EE like Spring, Hibernate etc.

·         Experience integrating search technologies (Lucene, Solr, Mongo DB, etc) with CMS systems.

·         Implementation expertise in provisioning development environment tools such as Git, JIRA, or other issue/task management tools, and continuous integration services.

·         Experience with complete application development life-cycle including requirements gathering, analysis and design, development, integration, testing, deployment, maintenance and support.

·         Experience in using Object Oriented software development methodologies like XP-Agile, Scrum, Rapid Application Development & Test Driven Development and Extensive implementation knowledge of Software Design Patterns & multi-threaded Asynchronous Programming Model.

·         Ability to drive complex estimates for migration of existing websites into the AEM environment, and to effectively communicate risks and dependencies to client.

·         Proficient in gathering and transforming business requirements into Business requirement Documents and functional requirement specifications.

·         Possess good organizational, interpersonal, communication and documentation skills.
