Immediate 9+ month contract opening in Irving, TX for a Senior Back-end Java Software Engineer with Network Programming experience. Will be responsible for developing telematics services in a wireless mobile environment. Will work in a team to design, develop, test, and maintain telematics software platform. Will troubleshoot and enhance code which was written by other team members. Will provide support and resolution for performance related issues. Will support existing telematics software including development of enhancements, defect resolution, determining and resolving performance issues, debugging, upgrading, and migration. Will utilize agile software development processes and short release cycles. Will provide well-written design documents from requirements documents.

Requirements:
- B.S. in Computer Science or related field.
- Experience developing and maintaining complex, multi-layer systems.
- Network Programming experience.
- Socket Programming experience.
- TCP/IP
- Experience developing software applications for the telecom, wireless mobile, or telematics industry.
- Experience developing SOA based web applications using technologies such as SOAP, XML, REST/JSON, EJB, ORM.
- 6-10+ years of Java/J2EE software development, preferably in a Linux/Unix environment.
- Java experience (JDK 1.7 and Java EE).
- Server knowledge (Glassfish 3.x, JBoss, Jetty).
- Strong knowledge of Web Services development using Java EE technologies JAX-WS, JAX-RS, JAXB, Eclipse Link MOXy, Glassfish Metro Stack etc.
- Proficient in database technologies and concepts (Oracle, SQL, Stored Procedures, Views, triggers, partitioning etc.).
- Recent work experience in using Spring, Jersey, Hibernate and other open source frameworks.
- Knowledge of caching technologies and concepts.
- Knowledge Maven and the Maven build process required.
- Test Driven Development: Experience using JUnit, and mocking frameworks like PowerMock and EasyMock.
- Experience with version control software such as SVN, CVS, etc; experience with IDE such as Eclipse.
- Knowledge and hand on experience using new Java Enhancements preferred.
- Experiences with Integration Frameworks preferred.
- Recent work experience with Terracotta and Quartz Scheduler preferred.
- Advanced Database skills preferred.
