THIS IS WHAT YOU WILL DO….
· Consult with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technology strategies
· Develop new network service offerings to meet current and emerging requirements
· Create strategy and roadmap to develop new or evolved service offerings
· Develop detailed, professionally-written documentation for the early lifecycle of a service offering
· Scope level of effort and duration with high accuracy given limited available information
· Drive cost-effective, agile proofs of concept for new service offerings
· Work with Network Delivery Assurance to transition from POC to operational acceptance and delivery
· Create enterprise networking architectures and designs, including architectural standards and principles, general design documentation, bills of material, and configuration standards
· Lead/execute project delivery for implementation of network designs, as appropriate; manage self and (as required) others' delivery of work against budget and timeline requirements
· Create as-built documentation for proof of concept environments
· Conduct and facilitate transition to operations, providing subject matter expertise in an educational manner
· Collaborate with peers to improve the overall team delivery of network solutions
· Follow the company processes and methodologies for delivering projects
· Work closely with all project stakeholder groups to coordinate the project milestones
· Understand and translate cross-team dependencies into actionable plans
· Proactively identify and manage risks; plan for effective risk mitigation
· Track projects against approved budgets and report on forecasts and variances
· Support the iterative business planning process
WE'RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO HAS…..
· Must have strong, demonstrable experience in enterprise-class and/or carrier-class environments performing network architecture, engineering, design, and implementation
· Must have strong, demonstrable experience with Wide Area Networking, routing and routed protocols, and network services such as WAN optimization, load balancing, and network security
· Minimum of 10 years' experience with network routing, switching, and security technologies
· Minimum of 5 years' experience in architecture and design leadership role(s)
· Recent experience with Network Function Virtualization, Software Defined Networking, and/or e-Orchestration strongly preferred
· Strong consultative approach to working with business stakeholders
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Very strong written and oral communication skills
· Strong interpersonal (relationship building and maintenance) skills
· Ability to build strong business partnerships
· Ability to plan technical work throughout service lifecycle (from business concept through architecture and execution to transition to operations)
· Extensive, demonstrable knowledge of and skills with data center and enterprise LAN/WAN technologies
· Extensive, demonstrable knowledge of and skills with multiple data center network enablement technologies, i.e., WAN acceleration and optimization; load balancing and traffic management; network encryption; IP address management; web proxy; firewalls; IDS/IPS; NAC; deep packet analysis; etc.
· Must possess an understanding of enterprise technology infrastructure, application development & maintenance, software testing, and IT architecture as they relate to converged data center technologies
· Certifications such as CCAr, CCIE, CCDE, CCNP, CCDP, etc. are given a preference
· Four-year degree in a business-oriented or technical discipline preferred
