Title: Tableau Developer
Location: Lexington, MA LOCALS OR Face To Face
Start date: ASAP
Duration: 8+ Months
Responsibilities:
The candidate should have at least 6+ years of hands on experience in building enterprise applications using BI Tools, Java Script, JQuery, J2EE and Oracle. The 80% of work is to build reports using BI Tools like Tableau (ideal), Business Objects, Crystal Reports and Logi Analytics. The following are the quick glance of technologies and skills which are important. Focus on expertise, experiences on Tableau, solid communication, who can directly work with executives.
. Data Visualization Skills
. SQL & PL/SQL experience with RDBMS like Oracle, MS SQL Server.
. Hands on experience with BI Tools like Tableau, Business Objects, Crystal Reports and Logi Analytics
. Hands on experience with JavaScript, JQuery, JQuery Plugins or any third party Java Script Libraries
. Excellent Communication skill
Concentrate on the Report SQL Developer skillset.
In addition to Tableau, we work with Logi XML and Crystal. Experience with any of the above (especially Tableau) is important, but think strong developer with experience in multiple other Reporting/BI tools and that can work.
Many Reporting/BI tools support plug-ins and custom scripts to expand capabilities beyond what is provided "out of the box".
Look for this experience.
Data Visualization talent is important.
If candidate claims to have this background - ask for samples of his work as screenshots.
On the DB Development side the most important thing is the ability to write complex queries and to understand the database.
Some Report Developers are not proficient in this area and expect DB developers to provide the queries.
DB Development background would be a plus.
