Here is the position description:
– Ab-Initio Developer
Location: Berkeley Heights, NJ
Contract Terms: 6 Months + Extensions
Ab-initio developer
Required Skills:
· Primary Skill required is AbInitio
· The candidate must have data warehousing background; preferably in an insurance or financial industry.
· This person must be able to function independently throughout the lifecycle of a project and must be flexible to adapt as the projects evolve.
· Must be proficient in programming complex ETL modules and skilled in Relational Database systems.
· Technical skills and Responsibilities:
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills a must.
· Proficient in the ETL tool AbInitio
· High proficiency in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL with strong relational database concepts
· Knowledge of UNIX Operating basic commands and scheduling
· Knowledge of IBM WebSphere DataStage and QualityStage Designer is a plus
· Knowledge of mainframe systems TSO, JCL and proc is a plus.
· Experience in enhancing functionality in large Data warehousing and Reporting Systems
· Work with Reporting team to build marts and tables to optimize reporting performance.
· Support System Testing and User Acceptance Testing and deployment
· Strong analytical and problem solving skills with production support experience.
· Professional, energetic and self-motivated with a well-defined work ethic
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor's Degree with 8+ years of relevant experience working on large projects as ETL developer

6+ years' experience in SAP ABAP programming
· · Good knowledge Business Process and SAP backend Integration
· Single point of responsibility for the all of the solutions – functional and technical
· Resolves high level functional issues
· rovides continuity in all solution decisions
· Responsible for design/ build/ testing/ deployment
· Work closely with BI SMEs, BI Architect, BI Developers
· Focus on usability and workflows
· Unit Testing, UAT, Content Migration and Deployment
· Plan and layout Job scheduling requirements based on customer needs
· Experience in various deployment options – Portal, Mobile, etc.
· Documentation and knowledge transfer
