Position: Sybase DBA + ASA & ASE  Experience
Location: Old Tappan, NJ
Duration: 6 months (extendable)

Job description:
1. Over 5+ years of experience in SYBASE ASA & ASE (12.5 &15) . Database Administration with exposure to 24*7 Production support.
2. Have hands on experience in maintaining large scale critical production database systems and strong exposure in backup & restore, replication between ASA and ASE , performance analysis and tuning.
3. Database upgrade from 12.5 to 15. Good knowledge of Database security issues and ability to design and implement security measures.
4. Have experience in database migration with strong knowledge in migration procedures, implementation and validation.
5. Ability to perform Installation, software upgrades, and apply patches.
6. Proficient in designing and implementing backup/recovery strategies, standards, automation of database maintenance activities
7. Experience in disaster recovery solutions and testing.
8. Good working knowledge of Windows & Unix Operating environments.
9. Ability to utilize various tools to provide system management functions such as: system backup/recovery, code promotion, system monitoring.
10. Good communication and documentation skills.
