Role: Storage & Backup Engineer

Duration: 6 months contract

Location: San Rafael, CA

Responsibilities:
·         Ensure the stability, availability and performance of supported systems
·         Minimum 2-4 yrs experience in the following areas - Capacity Management, Service-now, High volume request/incident process
·         Excellent written and verbal command
·         Daily requests for services:- Agreed Service Level Agreement turn-around, Capacity Management, Release and Deployment, Patch Management
·         Experience on unix/linux, windows and vmware platform is desirable
·         Work closely with application teams and vendors to troubleshoot issues
·         Maintains proper backup schedules, restore and recover data as requested, and facilitate off-site storage of tape

Prefered Certifications:

·         EMC Storage Administrator track-Level - Associate or Specialist
·         Specialty - Clariion or Symmetrix Solutions. Netapp Storage Networking Professional
·         ITIL Foundations Certification is a Plus

Responsibilities include Storage and Backup Operational Technical integration and troubleshoot (40% of time)
Storage and Backup Operational Patch and Break Fix Time (40% of time)
Documentation (10%)
Sev1/2 (10%)
