Title: Python Developer
Location: Annapolis, MD
Start date: ASAP
Duration: 6+ Months CTH
Responsibilities:
- Participate in web application development, aircraft messaging, flight planning and mapping, and object-oriented planning (OOP) using open source software as much as possible.
- Support Agile development which incorporates automated testing during development cycle.
- Interaction with onsite "customers" for requirements and implementation.
Required Experience:
- Two or more years of software development experience.
- Strong object - oriented design background (Python preferred, Java, C++).
- Working knowledge of Linux.
- Database understanding (currently uses Django with PostgreSQL and Oracle).
- Web 2.0/AJAX skills, HTML5, CSS 3, JavaScript.
Desired Experience:
- Strong user interface experience, wireless-web application development, relational database integration, rapid development methodologies.
- Working knowledge of relational databases.
- Experience with Photoshop.
Education and Certification Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
