Responsibilities:
Our client is looking for a strong Red Hat Administrator/Engineer that also has experience with Sun Solaris Administration. Client would prefer someone that has a RHCE Certification (minimum RHEL 4+), but will consider someone who is not certified. Individual must have at least 5-7 yrs. of experience and recent experience working in a large fast paced high availability RHEL environment. Must have deep knowledge of and be able to answer probing questions regarding the following protocols: SMTP, HTTP, SSL, DNS and NFS.
Responsibilities will include:
· Configuring and tuning system and network parameters
· Monitoring system stability and performance
· Troubleshooting system performance issues, diagnosing problems and correcting issues
· Ensuring 24x7x365 operation (on-call rotation)
· Rapidly scaling systems to meet demand
