Description: Our Information Technology Infrastructure Services (ITIS) works to conceive, deliver and support the technology that partners and professionals need to succeed. We are currently seeking a Manager, VMware Systems Administrator to join us
Responsibilities:
•Manage the implementation, configuration, deployment and ongoing support of the VMware vSphere server infrastructure hosting enterprise applications
•Implement operational strategy and standards, and applied research that align with the firm IT strategy vision and realization; including project and budget planning and execution
•Develop technical and operations standards, procedures, technical documentation and metrics related to VMware vSphere
•Produce metrics and status reports to present infrastructure performance and work initiative progress to leadership
•Analyze and resolve complex enterprise system hardware and software problems; interface with peer teams and vendors to coordinate solutions
•Provide on-call 24x7 support as needed
Qualifications:
•Minimum five years of IT experience; preferably in Enterprise Level Data Centers with production environments with over 1000 servers
•Experience in VMware vSphere platform based hosting of a large scale enterprise server estate which includes the VMware vSphere infrastructure installation, integration, and ongoing operational support
•Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experience
•Proficient technical skills in various editions of ESX/VSphere platform administration, Windows Server operating systems including Operating System Clustering, Powershell , Citrix/Xen App/Xen Server/Xen Desktop, VMware View, related VDI technologies including session brokers, Active Directory and Group Policy
•Advanced knowledge of datacenter automation technologies such as Tidal, Microsoft Orchestrator, and VMware Orchestrator
