Responsibilities:
Data Architect/ETL Developer
Understand and evaluate business requirements and translate those into specific database solutions.
• Create data design models, database architecture and data repository design.
• Implement, coordinate and maintain enterprise data architecture.
• Provide leadership in establishing and documenting data standards.
• Create and test database prototypes.
• Analyze data requirements and create logical and physical models of data flow.
• Analyze complex data systems and document data elements, data flow relationships and dependencies.
• Evaluate new data sources for adherence to the organizations quality standards and ease of integration.
• Design and develop ETL and integration solutions.
• Address data-quality issues with clients and management.
• Provide high level/specialist data consultation in complex projects.
• Perform other duties within the organization as assigned and/or necessary.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Observe and enforce all company policies, rules, and safety practices.
Education/Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Business Computer Information Systems or related field and/or a minimum of five years related experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to articulate, communicate and persuade. Ability to communicate with business partners and all levels of personnel within the company in an effective and professional manner.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
• Working knowledge of data modeling and database design tools
• Demonstrate expertise in a variety of database, ETL, and application concepts, practices and procedures.
