Mandatory Technical / Functional Skills PRIMARY SKILLS
10 + years Basis Administration experience.
Hands on experience with Netweaver 7.0 / 7.1 (ABAP and Java stacks); administration, install, configuration, tune, upgrade / patching, troubleshooting.
Hands on XI / PI experience; administration, install, configuration, tune, upgrade / patching, troubleshooting, adaptors.
Hands on experience planning and executing major application upgrades in an SAP environment.
Proficiency in UNIX Shell and Perl scripting.
Experience in SAP Security administration.
Experience supporting SAP transports in a complex multi-layer landscape.
Experience supporting SAP with Oracle RDBMS.
Participate in a 24x7 on-call pager rotation.
Roles and responsibility Function as a Basis Administrator for the SAP environment hosting a custom developed Revenue Accounting System.
Install, configure, tune, test and maintain the SAP environment including planning for required capacity and growth.
Integrate third party solutions into the SAP environment.
Support the planning and execution of major application upgrades in the SAP environment.
Support the planning and evolution of the SAP Stack.
Identify and analyze system and application issues. Determine solutions; develop, test and implement fixes.
Apply a broad understanding of the system including the SAP framework (ABAP and Java Stacks), database, operating system, infrastructure and utilities in troubleshooting issues or implementing changes in the system.
Demonstrates resourcefulness and creativity in identifying resolutions to issues.
Quickly learns and applies new concepts and skills.
Guides and fosters growth in the SAP knowledge of peers.
