Informatica Support Consultant
Mandatory Technical / Functional Skills
• Sound understanding of Informatica PowerCenter:
o Designer
o Workflow Manager
o Workflow Monitor
o Repository Manager
o Administrator Console
• Sound understanding of SQL Server 2008 data modeling:
o Star Schema & Extended Star Schema
• ER Studio
• HANA and Data Services
• Design and development in Informatica Power Center
• Database experience (SQL Server or Oracle or any Database ).
• Strong Query language experience. (SQL,Pl/SQL)
• Data warehousing experience
• Support project experience for Informatica (Must have handled Batch)
• Excellent analysis and design, troubleshooting and problem resolution skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills is a must "
Roles and responsibility "• Support data load batch cycles
• Work on support issues and resolve them within the SLA
• Work closely with the various functional & BI teams to translate business requirements into optimal solutions
• Analyze, Design & development solutions with Informatica tools
• Provide technical support to the BI team during the BI development and onward including enhancements, changes & defect resolution
• Ensure that data protection policies (i.e. data security) as defined and adhered to
• Create new data structures (i.e. DDL) and execute data scripts
• Enhance the performance of ETL layer or Presentation layer queries which includes the tuning of queries and index determination.
• Communicate effectively with end users in a multinational environment
• Adherence to client configuration & coding standards
• Work with Offshore/Near-shore teams in resolving issues
• Handover/Takeover of incidents/Change Requests
• Good team player
