PROJECT TITLE: Project Manager
Dates: June 17th, 2013 to December 31st, 2013
Hours to be worked per day: 7.5
Location : Washington DC
Duration : 12+months
Work scope/Specifications/Deliverables:
ü Manage FEP's Overseas Vendor Implementation Project which encompasses full life-cycle from requirements gathering to implementation.
ü Create and maintain appropriate project artifacts as required by the FEP PMO (e.g. Project Plan, Project Schedule, Communication Plan, Resource Plan, Monthly Financial Reports, Risks and Issues Log etc.).
ü Manage project per the FEP PMO Project Management Life Cycle processes which includes initiation, planning, implementation/execution, monitoring and control and closing.
ü Ensure that three key project constraints are met (scope, schedule and budget) while maintaining quality.
ü Ensure that all risks and issues are properly monitored, resolved and/or mitigated.
ü Conduct status meetings for the project and actively participate in the PMO weekly and monthly status meetings.
ü Provide weekly, monthly and ad-hoc status reports as requested by PMO or the Business Owner of the project.
ü Work closely with Business Leads assigned to the project for the planning, execution and issue resolution.
ü Performs additional responsibilities, tasks and duties as determined by the FEP PMO.
Qualifications:
ü Strong Technical Project Management experience. At least 7-10 years of project management experience in the Business and IT domains.
ü At least 5-7 years of experience in managing system integration project involving a vendor or vendors.
ü Ability to work with minimal direction and supervision
ü Ability to take high level requirements and/or scope and drive to successful execution
ü Ability to lead and manage a cross-functional and multi-disciplinary team comprised of both Business and IT resources
Additional Skills and Experience:
ü Strong Leadership skill
ü Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
ü Excellent interpersonal skill
ü Ability to adapt to changing environment
ü Health care industry knowledge is a plus
ü PMP Certification is a plus.
ü Knowledge of Blues (Blue Cross Blue Shield Plans) and Federal Employees Health Benefits (FEHB) Program is a plus
Deliverables:
ü Project Management artifacts as outlined above
ü Other deliverables assigned by the FEP PMO, Business Lead and/or by the Business Sponsor.
