Job Title: Java CQ Developer

 

Adobe CQ (AEM) Back End Java Developer

This is a highly visible project involving conversion of a corporate web site to Adobe CQ (AEM). The Back End developer will work closely with the design agency and nationally recognized consultants. The project will include building interfaces to existing web applications. The end product will be a state of the art marketing web site. Work experience with the CMS under the Day Software label is fine. You will Work with an Adobe development team to understand CQ and the various technical decisions that were made during discovery.

Programming will occur in Dallas. The developer must work on site. Some paid travel to San Jose, CA is possible. This is a 3 month project to start but will very likely extend to 6 months or beyond. The candidate should be open to extra PAID hours based on project demand. This is a relaxed, comfortable development environment. This will be one of the best projects you ever get a chance to join!

Must be able to start soon, must be able to work in US, no sponsorships. Must be willing to do phone screen followed by face to face interview in Dallas. No relocation expenses paid.

Required:

Java - A Java "Hot Shot", must have recent JUnit experience. Other testing tools may be acceptable. Test driven development preferred but not required.

* Web – Must be capable to handle all aspects of building web back-ends in Java including JSPs and JARs. A solid understanding of Tomcat is required. Some form of Web UI testing tool experience is needed. Selenium experience preferred.

CMS – Experience with building JSP to support the Adobe CQ environment. Should be familiar with CRX and JCR.

HTML, CSS, JavaScript & JQuery – Should be able to make adjustments to HTML, CSS and JavaScript as required to integrate with CQ. Must have exposure to HTML5, CSS3, Flash & JQuery.

SVN – Should have recent SVN experience, other forms of source control might be acceptable.

* Must be team oriented, care about the work and be able to communicate in writing and by phone.

Nice to Have

* Adobe Developer training class a BIG PLUS

* Agile / Scrum experience, we will work in sprints with daily scrums, not required but it would help.

* Able to translate user stories to solutions

* Experience with CreativeSuite or similar software, even training experience is fine
