Description:
The position requires a dynamic leader-someone that can take charge and solve problems possessing the following skills & experiences:
· Strong leadership and excellent communication skills
· Ability to partner well with team members and business sponsors/stakeholders, and experience working with executives
· Only candidates that have run software development projects will be considered-this experience is absolutely required
· Strong PM skills (initiating, planning, executing, controlling, closing project plans)
· Experience working with Project Server
· Demonstrated experience managing SDLC projects using both Waterfall and Agile methodologies
· Controlling and minimizing risk throughout the entire project lifecycle, not just at the end
· Closing projects on-time and on-budget
· Proven ability to work independently while keeping management informed
· Experience in large corporations required
· Pharma experience is strongly preferred
· PMP certification strongly preferred
This opportunity is part of the PMO (Project Management Office), multiple projects will be assigned.
Nearly all projects are software development/enhancement/upgrade based.
Common development technologies include SharePoint, Cognos, Informatica, Hyperion, and Essbase.
Business units include Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, R&D, Clinical Trials, Legal, and Finance.
