PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
SAP's Global Delivery is a global organization within SAP Consulting chartered to support SAP consulting subsidiaries in project delivery incorporating SAP's Global Delivery Model. SAP Global Delivery is increasingly being looked upon to drive 'Globalization' within SAP Consulting and is looking at extending its involvement across the engagement lifecycle. Transportation and Logistics industry is one of the key focus areas of SAP Global Delivery. Selected candidates will be responsible for understanding customer requirements and implementing Transportation Management Solutions using SAP Solutions. The role will require substantial interaction with customers and key stakeholders and may require extensive long term travel.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
- Customer management skills
- Good presentation and communication skills
- At least one implementation experience or 2-3 POC/Demo of SAP TM 6.0, 7.0 & 8.X along with Basic knowledge of ERP (MM/SD/LES)
- Hands on experience by attending Boot camps on SAP TM 8.X along with knowledge on TM Order Management, Planning & Carrier Selection, Tendering, Dispatch & Monitoring, Ocean Carrier Booking, and Transportation Charge Management will be required along with Basic knowledge of ERP (MM/SD/LES). ASTL - CTL certification preferable
- At least one implementation experience on SAP Event Management or SAP TM 6.0, 7.0 & 8.X Event Management implementation experience with Basic knowledge of ERP (MM/SD/LES).
- Understanding of the business processes of following industry domains will be an added advantage(especially in Consumer Industry, Freight Forwarders, Logistics Service Providers, Contract Logistics, Carriers)…
- Ability to contribute industry thought leadership articles and research papers in the Transport and logistics domain is expected
The Consultants will be based out of one of the SAP GD offices. The primary tasks of this role are: --
- Conduct customer workshop to understand business process requirements
- Advise customer on industry best practices in the area of Transportation Management
- Configure the requirements in SAP TM Implementations
- Prepare functional specification
- Conduct testing , training and data migration activities
- Exposure to SAP's ASAP Implementation methodology & SAP Solution manager
WORK EXPERIENCE
- 3 to 4 years in implementation services of SAP Solutions (e.g. SAP-TM 6.0, 7.0 & 8.X, SAP – LES)
- Good domain knowledge in manufacturing or supply chain planning areas
- Domain or Knowledge of Transportation & Logistics Industry will be an added advantage
- Conducted Business Blueprint Workshop assessment workshop with business users
- Minimum two life cycle project experience is must and exposure to offshore project delivery model is desirable
