Position:-Java Developer

Onsite Location: Richmond VA

Duration: ~ 7 months

Interview process: 1 phone screen then in-person interview in Richmond VA is required. No Skype allowed- must go for in person interview.

 

Part of team that develops core APIs for credit card transactions

 

Primary skills:

Java

AWS

CICD pipeline

Automation tools – chef jenkins

Performing new enhancement development

 

Responsibilities:

- Driving project/service delivery/deployment

- Performing as technical lead on API development

- Collaborating with other platforms tech leads to ensure integrated end-to-end design and testing

- Documenting technical design

- Enforcing existing process guidelines

- Monitoring operating efficiency of existing application systems

 

Basic Qualifications:

- High school diploma, GED or equivalent certification, or military experience

- At least 7 years of experience in software development

- At least 3 years of experience in one of the following: Java, Chef, or Jenkins

- At least 3 years of Cloud experience utilizing either Azure or AWS

- At least 3 years of experience utilizing DevOps principles

- At least 3 years of experience utilizing Agile principles

- Experience as Senior developer in technology projects

-Certified in one or all of the following: Java Developing, Spring Framework, or AWS

JD:

5+ years of experience in Core Java, J2EE frameworks.

Strong fundamentals in data structures, caching, multithreading, messaging and asynchronous communication

Have experience in file processing using Java frameworks(backend work).

Experience in processing large volumes of Data. 

Strong knowledge of RDBMS/SQL (Esp. Oracle, PL/SQL) including performance tuning/query optimization.

Java Frameworks (Spring, Hibernate); JMS, Junit, Test driven development.

Must be comfortable with industry standard build/Development tools including: Maven, Ant, Jenkins, Eclipse, IntelliJ

Continuous Integration and automated deployment experience for multi-branched, multi-module projects.

HTML5/ JavaScript frameworks like Angular JS and related build technologies a plus
