Job Description
The project involves developing a configuration driven test execution framework for qualifying scientific computation tools. The tools may be executed standalone or in concert to develop models, prepare datasets, run simulations, etc. under one or more execution environments. Following test execution, the framework must support capability to systematically and intelligently compare the results between one or more of these tests, produce a summary report with success, failure and/or deviations and present the same with supporting data.
The functionalities include test definition, execution, result (extraction) verification and report generation. In addition to an SME reviewable report, the system should produce a complete journal of the test settings, execution environment, run logs as well as track the lineage the of the data that led to the final report. The SME report may need to be filled into a QA approved template for formal qualification of the tool release for production use.
Working closely with the business and IT teams, you'll be responsible for leading the design and hands on development for a novel, configuration driven test suite that can be invoked either on the command line (Phase I) or over the intranet (Phase II). This may require integration with commercial or open source tools such as BeyondCompare, numdiff, nrtest, Jupyter, etc. to aid meaningful result comparison and producing a consistent log of the entire run.
You will also be responsible for running system tests to confirm core functionality, performance, system design, and bug fixing. The ability to take on novel ideas and implement solutions on the fly is crucial. Proficiency in GO is preferred.

We're seeking a strong backend application developer to take on the design and development for a NEW tool testing framework to support scientific data analysis.
Qualifications and Skills
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied sciences or Mathematics
• Motivated self-starter, ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced development environment
• Proficiency in GO and at least 1 major programming (Java, C/C++) and scripting language (Python, Perl)
• Proficiency in use of GIT and/or other version control system
• Experience working in Unix platform with command line utilities and processes.
• Experience in server side Java or python application development
• Experience with Markup (HTML, XML, JSON) and Markdown languages and document templating
• Debugging code and tracking down issues
