Position: Programmer / Developer Lead - Hadoop Developer
Location: Bellevue, WA
Duration: 5 months
Must Have:
2+ years of Hadoop Experience
3+ years of Java development Experience
Good knowledge in HDFS, Hive, Sqoop and Oozie
Very good SQL knowledge
Good knowledge of DWH concepts
Hands on experience with shell scripting
Very strong analytical skills
Good to have :
Experience with Pig, Spark and any NoSQL databases
Experience in Python Development
Teradata and MySQL expertise
Experience with Agile methodology for software development
Reporting tools like Tableau, Spotfire
Responsibilities:
Develop software using technologies such as Hive, Pig, Java and related tools.
Write, update, and maintain computer programs or software packages to handle specific jobs, such as tracking inventory, storing or retrieving data, or control
ling other equipment.
Consult with managerial, engineering, and technical personnel to clarify program intent, identify problems, and suggest changes.
Perform or direct revision, repair, or expansion of existing programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements.
Perform unit testing and assist with integration testing
Write or contribute to instructions or manuals to guide end users.
Perform systems analysis and programming tasks to maintain and control the use of computer systems software as a systems programmer.
Consult with and assist computer operators or system analysts to define and resolve problems in running computer programs.
Assist in system and user testing Fix errors and bugs that are identified in the course of testing.
