Position           : .BI / DW Consultant

Location           :Sunnyvale, CA

Duration           : 6 to 9  months     

 

Skills – BI/DW Analyst (Functional & Technical)

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

This position would be responsible for requirements gathering, analysis, design, development, testing and documentation for various BI / DW development and support activities. He or she will also help design complicated integration projects between multiple source systems. Other responsibilities include providing user training and working with remote development teams to complete projects on schedule. This position is around 50% functional (Business Analysis/ Systems Analysis) and 50% technical (BI development & support).

 

5-7 years in BI and Data Warehouse:

Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the project lifecycle, including requirements gathering for BI projects, writing design specifications, and test plans development and execution.

Demonstrated experience in supporting and troubleshooting  data warehousing systems.

Strong SQL writing skills and relational database knowledge is strongly desired Demonstrated ability to model business requirements into both relational and star-schema / snowflake data structures

Experience in data profiling and data modeling.

Experience in trouble shooting data warehouse refresh issues and BI reports data validation with source systems.

Experience in using Cognos to build and refresh cubes.

Strong application experience working with OBIEE/Microstrategy/SAP BO/QlickView/Birst in building metadata structure and reports.

Preferred experience working with ETL applications.
